Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Izmir

Begin your journey with your arrival at Izmir airport or Kusadasi port. Your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Izmir. Enjoy a welcome dinner and an overnight stay in Izmir, where you can rest and prepare for the spiritual journey ahead.

Day 2: Pergamum – Thyatira – Izmir

After breakfast, travel to Pergamum, known for its Acropolis, the steepest theater in the world, and the Altar of Zeus, referred to as the Throne of Satan in Revelation. Explore the Asklepieion, an ancient healing center, and the Red Basilica (St. John’s Church). Continue to Thyatira, now Akhisar, famous for its purple dyes and the city where Lydia, the seller of purple, hailed from. Return to Izmir and explore the panoramic view of Smyrna. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Izmir.

Day 3: Sardis – Philadelphia – Laodicea

Depart for Sardis, the ancient capital of the Lydian Kingdom. Visit the Temple of Artemis and the Byzantine Church. Continue to Philadelphia, the only church not censured, and see the ruins of a Byzantine basilica. Travel to Hierapolis, known for its hot springs and the martyrdom site of Apostle Philip. Visit Laodicea, seeing its ancient theatre, basilica remains, and other significant structures. Overnight in a thermal hotel in Hierapolis, where you can relax in the natural hot springs.

Day 4: Ephesus – Kusadasi

Drive to Ephesus, a major site among the seven churches. Visit the Basilica of St. John and the Ephesus Archaeological Museum. Walk through the ancient city, marveling at the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Great Theatre. See the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Conclude with a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Kusadasi.

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Izmir airport for your flight home. Reflect on the spiritual insights and historical knowledge gained during your journey through the Seven Holy Churches.
