Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Departure for France

Today we gather for our transatlantic flight to France. As we begin this sacred journey, we prepare our hearts for the spiritual encounters that await. Meals are served on board.

Day 2 – Paris / Lourdes

Upon arrival in Paris, our Sacred Travel Paths tour director warmly greets us. We board a short flight to Lourdes, the town where the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous in 1858. After checking into our hotel, we visit the Sanctuary for an introductory tour and participate in the moving Candlelight Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

Day 3 – Lourdes

We begin our day with Mass at the Grotto, the sacred site of Mary’s apparitions. A walking tour follows, including visits to the Healing Baths, the Rosary Basilica, and the Upper Basilica. In the afternoon, enjoy personal time for prayer, reflection, or a visit to the Museum of Lourdes. After dinner, we again have the option to join the Candlelight Procession. Overnight in Lourdes.

Day 4 – Lourdes / Lyon

Early morning Mass at the Poor Clares Convent sets the tone for our departure to Lyon. Upon arrival, we visit the magnificent Lyon Cathedral before checking into our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Lyon.

Day 5 – Lyon / Ars / Paray-le-Monial / Nevers

Today we travel to Ars, home of St. John Vianney, the Patron Saint of Priests. Here, we visit his house and the Basilica of St. John Vianney, which houses his relics. After Mass, we continue to Paray-le-Monial, the “City of the Eucharist,” to explore the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Chapel of the Apparitions. Our day concludes in Nevers, where we have dinner and overnight accommodations.

Day 6 – Nevers / Lisieux

Our morning begins at the Convent of St. Gildard, where Saint Bernadette spent her final years. We celebrate Mass in the Chapel of St. Bernadette, where her incorrupt body rests. In the afternoon, we journey to Lisieux, the home of Saint Thérèse, the “Little Flower of Jesus.” Dinner and overnight in Lisieux.

Day 7 – Lisieux / Paris

This morning, we explore the life of Saint Thérèse, visiting her childhood home (Les Buissonnets) and the Carmelite Convent, where she is buried. We also visit the Basilica of Saint Thérèse and celebrate Mass in its Crypt. In the afternoon, we travel to Paris and enjoy a scenic motor coach tour of the “City of Light,” including stops at the Trocadero Terrace for a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 8: Paris

We begin our day with a visit to Rue de Bac, the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal, where St. Catherine Laboure received her visions of Mary. After Mass, we explore the charming Luxembourg Gardens and the stunning Notre-Dame Cathedral. Free time for lunch and shopping in the surrounding area follows. Our day concludes with a visit to Sainte-Chapelle, known for its magnificent stained glass. Dinner and overnight in Paris.

Day 9 – Paris

Our morning starts with Mass at Saint Stephen’s Church, home to the remains of Saint Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris. We then enjoy a serene cruise along the River Seine, offering beautiful views of Paris’ landmarks. The day includes free time for shopping on the Champs-Élysées and a visit to the world-renowned Louvre Museum. In Montmartre, we visit Sacré-Cœur Basilica and explore the vibrant Artists’ Quarter. Our journey concludes with a special farewell dinner at a charming Parisian restaurant. Overnight in Paris.

Day 10: Return Home

As our spiritual pilgrimage draws to a close, we bid farewell to the British Isles and board our return flight home. Depart from Edinburgh with cherished memories of historic sites, spiritual revelations, and the enduring beauty of England and Scotland.
