Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Departure for Egypt
Begin your journey of historical discovery as you depart for Cairo, Egypt. Relax during your overnight flight and prepare for the transformative pilgrimage ahead.
Day 2: Arrival in Cairo
Arrive in Cairo, where you will be greeted by your guide and driver. They will transport you to your hotel for dinner and an evening of rest. Relax and prepare for the adventures that lie ahead.
Day 3: Alexandria
After breakfast, embark on a day tour to the ancient seaport of Alexandria, known as “The Pearl of the Mediterranean.” Discover the Greco-Roman culture in Egypt by visiting the Fort at Quit Bay and the ancient Catacombs of Kom and Pompay’s Pillar. Conclude the day with breathtaking views of the Montaza Palaces before returning to Cairo.
Day 4: Coptic Cairo, Hanging Church & Alabaster Mosque
Explore Coptic Cairo, starting with the famous Hanging Church, built over the Roman Gate of Babylon by the Nile River. This area was traversed by biblical figures such as Abraham, Joseph, Moses, and the family of Jesus. Next, visit the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, a stunning example of Ottoman architecture. Learn about Muslim religious practices and enjoy a stop at a papyrus factory to see the creation of Egyptian art pictures.
Day 5: Memphis, Sakkara, Joseph’s Storehouses
Travel to Memphis, the legendary city of Menes, and view a well-preserved statue of Ramses II. From a biblical perspective, Memphis is significant as the place where Abraham interacted with Pharaoh and where Joseph rose to prominence. Continue to Sakkara, home to the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, one of Egypt’s most extensive archaeological sites. Visit Faiyum, the region developed by Joseph’s divinely inspired wisdom, featuring ancient storehouses and a man-made lake created by a canal ordered by Joseph.
Day 6: Cairo Pyramids & Tutankhamen’s Treasures
Spend a full day touring the wonders of ancient Egypt. Visit the pyramids, including Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. See the iconic Sphinx and explore the Egyptian Museum, home to Tutankhamen’s treasures and ancient artifacts. Delve into the history and grandeur of these ancient marvels, some of which date back over a thousand years before Abraham.
Day 7: Departure
In the early morning, transfer to the airport for your flight home. Reflect on your enriching experiences and the profound connections made to the biblical history and cultural heritage of Egypt. Safe travels, and may your journey inspire future explorations.
